Alec (Age 46) – 2nd Degree Black Belt
You have the opportunity to train 3 nights of the week. The classes are fun and enjoyable for everyone and a great way to improve your fitness and flexibility. The class students abilities range from complete beginners through to 2nd degree black belts. There is a great teaching and learning ethos with higher grades always keen to help and support the lower grades.
I have been a member of the Chesworth Taekwondo club for the past 7 years along with both of my sons who started around the age of 7. Taekwondo has been great for both of them, building their confidence and promoting its values of integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. My eldest son now trains with the Scottish Taekwondo national team and my youngest is hoping to follow in his big brothers footsteps. For me my days of competing are long past, I enjoy the fitness aspect of the training but most of all I enjoy participating with my children, watching them improve over the years and now to see them exceeding my abilities has been a great journey and an experience I would recommend to any parent. So fed up training alone in the gym, sitting in front of the TV or playing too much PS3/XBox then why not try Taekwondo and unleash your potential.
